The Annals of Yorkshire. Volumes I & II (Of a two volume set). Published in 1851and 1852. A history of Yorkshire from the earliest period to 1852. Volume One presents historical events both local and national that helped shape Yorkshire.<br><br> Volume Two restricts itself mainly to the market towns and biographical notices. A useful reference for the family and the local historian with a complete chapter being devoted to the catastrophe at Holmfirth caused by the failure of the Biberry Reservoir.
