County of Milwaukee

 

On this eight day of October A.D. 1866 personally appeared before me ?.A. Becker, a notary public for the state of Wisconsin and after being duly sworn, said and testified and do and hereby testify: 

1st. that we Jacobus van Els and Antoon Derks inhabitants and citizens of the fifth ward of the city of Milwaukee do know by our own knowledge, that on the fifth day of October A.D. 1865 Wilhelmus Jochyms of the village of Vierlingsbeek, North Braband, Netherlands, aged about forty years, died at the house of John Verheyen on the west side of Greenbush Street, the second house north of Elisabeth street in the fifth ward of said city of Milwaukee and was buried three days after he died by the ceremonies of the Catholic Church in said fifth ward of said city Milwaukee.

In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year before written.

Ontvangen voor zegelrecht vijfentwintig cent
's Gravenhage, acht Augustus 1800 twee & tachtig

 

John Verheyen of the city and county of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin being duly sworn deposes and says, that he was well acquinted with Wilhelmus Jochims, (formerly from Vierlingsbeek in the province of north Braband Kingdom of the Netherlands) during the time of his life, that said Wilhelmus Jochims lived in his family in Milwaukee for six or more years that said Wilhelmus Jochims well sick and died in his, deponent's, house on or about the 5th day of October 1865, that he, deponent was present at the time of the death of said wilhelmus Jochims, that he, deponent saw his dead body, that he attended his funeral, and that said wilhelmus jochims was burried at the Trinity Church Cemetery on the New Road in the county of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin.
